Start Selling Online With Google Shopping Product Listings
Google Shopping allows people to browse products from advertisers and sellers who have chosen to feature their products available on their online store.
How To List Products Using Google Merchant Center
Google Shopping product listings are created within the Google Merchant Center. There are two ways an advertiser can appear in the shopping feeds:
1 – Free Listings
2 – Paid advertising (Performance Max campaign)
Sellers and advertisers will need to comply with Google Shopping policies, items that don’t comply will be removed and may suspend users. Advertisers connect their websites via product feeds as the listings need to be updated on a regular basis.
To get started you will need to sign up for a Google Merchant Center account. When you set your products up to show in the Free listings you will need to add:
- The business information,
- Verify the phone number,
- Add your products via product data feed from the website,
- Verify the website domain,
- Shipping, and other relevant information pertaining to your location.
Performance Max Campaigns (Sponsored ads) to enable this feature you will need a Google Ads account linked to the Merchant Center. The products will automatically link from the Merchant Center product feed, set your budget, and target audience to go live.
